Collection [microform], 1709-1892.

Correspondence among family members, wills, certificates of military commission, and other genealogical documents comprise the family papers. The plantation records are made up of account books for the various Hall estates, lists of slaves and cattle, crop accounts, doctor bills for the care of slaves, as well as business correspondence with persons in Jamaica or England, including Sam Cleland, James Kerr, Stephen Fuller, William Brown, and John Scott. The 1993 accession includes a significant number of letters from the English diplomat Lorenzo Charles to his uncle John K. Hall.
